Daniel E. Lee was sworn into office as Wapakoneta’s 58th Mayor on December 30th 2023. He has a vision of propelling Wapakoneta forward in the areas of mental and physical wellness, as we strive to improve the quality of each citizen.
He married his high school sweetheart on May 16th, 1992. Dan and Vanessa were born and raised in Wapakoneta where they returned after their education to start their family and their businesses. They have 3 children, Noah, Jonah, and Rebekah.
He is currently employed as a marketer for Auglaize and Sidney Audiology and is the Lead Pastor at Westside United Methodist Church in Lima Ohio.
Prior to working at Auglaize and Sidney Audiology, Dan had been a car salesman, loss prevention specialist, juvenile and adult probation officer for Auglaize County, substitute teacher, and marketer for a long-term nursing corporation.
Dan is past President and longtime member of the Wapakoneta Chamber of Commerce and has served on many boards both locally and statewide.
He serves the community by refereeing high school soccer and track and field. He also serves on the Area Agency on Aging board of Directors.
Dan looks forward to serving all the citizens of Wapakoneta with integrity, honesty, and compassion.
J. Grant Neal

J. Grant Neal is from Lima, Ohio and graduated from Tri-Valley High School in Dresden, Ohio. Grant is also a 2016 graduate of Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania, and attended law school at Ohio Northern University. While in law school, Grant clerked for HK&B for two years.
Grant’s practice extends to the fields of Personal Injury, Real Estate, Estates and Wills, civil litigation, contract review, appeals, and business formation. He has served as the City Law Director for Wapakoneta since the beginning of 2020.
Grant’s family has deep roots in the greater Lima area and he was proud to return to the region after moving to southeast Ohio for high school and western Pennsylvania for college. Outside of work, Grant enjoys spending a Saturday deer hunting, reading, or watching college football. He lives in Wapakoneta with his wife Brooke, a native of Columbus Grove. They are active members of Lima Community Church.

Paula S. Anderson was appointed as City Auditor on June 5th, 2024, and sworn into office on June 17th, 2024. She believes that Wapakoneta has so much to give to its residents to make the City an amazing place to live and work and wanted to be part of its forward progress.
She married her high school sweetheart on September 9th, 1977. Paula and John were born and raised in Wapakoneta. They have three children: Cody, Scott & Jennifer.
Paula is currently self-employed and has owned Anderson Accounting, LLC since 1988.
In addition to owning her own business Paula has worked in accounting her entire adult life ranging from Payroll Clerk, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as well as Controller.
Paula enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Paula looks forward to serving the residents of Wapakoneta with honesty and candid responsibility.
