JOB SUMMARY
Operates two-way radio to receive messages from and transmit messages to on-duty police officers, fire fighters and rescue personnel; after hours dispatch for City services; receive request for police and fire assistance and dispatches appropriate departmental personnel to scene.
Operates L.E.A.D.S. teletype to send and receive messages, request and receive law enforcement and criminal data, etc., give information regarding stolen vehicles, etc., enters information into L.E.A.D.S. system in an accurate and timely manner.
Receives telephone calls and handles complaints or messages of a routine nature; answer inquiries; collect information regarding crime or emergency in progress to relay pertinent date to police officer, fire fighter or other appropriate personnel; maintains contact with situation in progress to keep check on status.

Starting salary $20.48/HR -after 6 months of service $21.15/HR with yearly contract raises
