East Town Community Improvement Corporation property boundary update
At the June 5th Wapakoneta City Council meeting, there was a brief discussion specific to the East Town property under the ownership of the Wapakoneta Area Community Improvement Corporation (CIC). This discussion was brought forth to the Law Director by a City Councilor.
During this discussion, it was stated by a Councilor that a new survey was performed for the East Town site in early 2023. And that the survey work previously undertaken in 2021 was incomplete. However, it is noted by city staff that the survey work performed in 2021 by the initial survey company was of the highest quality and met the work scope demand requirements effectively.
With the passage of time and a full boundary survey not officially recorded by the CIC or City, a decision was made in late 2022 to have a new survey performed for the East Town property location. At this point, a different survey company was tasked with this work. As of this date, the survey work is completed and will be used during the deed transfer and recording process.
