Full Time Employment (a job working 40 hours per week or more)
Coordinates daily maintenance of municipal park facilities, gazebos, and shelter houses. Ensures that all restrooms at park locations are cleaned for public health and safety. Reviews the need for adequate maintenance of recreation facilities, repairs of current equipment and makes recommendations to the Recreation Director. Assists the Recreation Director in the coordination of parks and recreation facilities construction and equipment installation.
Helps review all related expenses for parks and recreation maintenance, materials, and equipment; and assists the Recreation Director in adjustments as needed.
Maintains contact with vendors and contractors for work affecting parks and recreational facilities. Maintains any required certifications; attends training seminars; takes licensing reexaminations as required; attends department training and meetings. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
High School Diploma
Prior supervisory experience desired; knowledge of construction tools, materials, and equipment; basic mechanical/maintenance abilities; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Equipment operated includes: motor vehicle operation, power tools, tractor, mower, utility vehicle, and knowledge of water testing kits is desired.
Valid State of Ohio driver’s license and ability to maintain insurability under the City’s vehicle insurance policy; weed and grass control licensure(s).
