JOB SUMMARY
The City of Wapakoneta is hiring a Laborer in the Public Works Department. Performs manual labor to assist workers in performance of job duties and responsibilities; digs ditches, operates jack hammer, operates chain saw, carries materials, unloads equipment and tools, shovels stone, removes asphalt, flags traffic, loads refuse. Performs simple preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, and ground maintenance of city facilities, i.e., mows lawn, cleans floors, shovels snow, rakes leaves, etc.

EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Prior basic construction and maintenance methods experience would be a benefit to this position.
SALARY/BENEFITS
Pay varies by experience. Pay range $15.67 – $18.49. Higher range if you possess a valid CDL.
