JOB SUMMARY
Full-time position to assist Recreation Director in the coordination, maintenance, and improvements of municipal park and rec facilities within the City.
Provides planning of daily operations and maintenance of park facilities, gazebos and shelter houses. Reviews the need for equipment\, repair\, and makes recommendations to the Recreation Director. Assists in maintaining aquatic facilities. Prepares marketing materials for citywide recreational activities. Maintains contact with vendors, contractors, the general public, and governmental agencies.
Budgeting; inventory control; purchasing; interviewing; workplace safety practices and procedures; recreation facility certification/licensure requirements; emergency medical care/first aid/CPR procedures; grounds and equipment maintenance and repair; media relations; supervisory principles and practices; manpower planning; project management; program development and implementation; and facility operations.

EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Possession of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field of study is preferred but not required; prior managerial experience desired; knowledge of pool chemicals and operations required; basic mechanical/maintenance abilities required; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Ability to obtain first aid/CPR/BBP and oxygen administration certification. Possession of a valid State of Ohio driver’s license.
